$7500 Maryland solar cash grant

What is the Maryland Solar Access Program?

The Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) has launched the Maryland Solar Access Program under the Brighter Tomorrow Act of 2024, offering significant incentives to make solar energy more accessible to low and moderate-income households. This new initiative aims to reduce energy bills and promote sustainable energy solutions across the state.

The program provides up to $7,500 per eligible household, calculated at $750 per kilowatt of direct current (DC) solar capacity installed. This incentive is designed to help Maryland residents offset the cost of installing solar panels, making solar energy a viable option for more families. First-Come, First-Served Basis: Grants will be allocated to eligible applicants on a first-come, first-served basis.
